About

Hello reader.

My name is Bill Joseph and I am an Ole Miss Rebel.

I am also a second-generation alumnus and a former football player. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Ole Miss back in the 1990’s and followed that with four years of graduate school. I currently work in the medical field.

In the years since leaving Ole Miss, I have actively maintained an interest in my dear alma mater. Like many others, I simply do not have the time or opportunity to visit her often. I don’t donate to the school regularly, but I do have my fair share of Rebel merchandise hanging in the closet. I don’t keep an active membership in the alumni association but I do attend athletic events from time to time. I don’t make all the games every year but I do my best to watch on TV and keep up with how our teams are doing.

My qualifications as a writer do not exist. I am not a reporter or columnist. I don’t write books or short stories or anything else in that realm of published media. I am of no particular interest in the journalistic world at all. I just entertain myself (and hopefully others) by writing, and that’s about it.

Through this blog, it is my hope to lend a voice to those fans like me who don’t walk the line of the fanatically insane, but are still concerned when it comes to our beloved alma mater. A voice of the “silent majority,” if you will.

For what it’s worth (yes, it’s free), I will give you my honest opinion about nearly anything that has to do with Ole Miss…but mostly sports. I will share with you my perspective of what the Ole Miss fan experience is like and some of the insight that I have come to know as a lifelong fan.

I hope you enjoy it.

Cheers,

Bill
